Nigerian Catholic Bishops host 150 ECOWAS counterparts on path to build brotherhood, sustainable peace in West Africa

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) is to host the General Assembly of the Reunion of Episcopal Conference of West Africa (RECOWA) from Monday, 2 May to Monday, 9 May 2022.

This was disclosed to newsmen in a press statement in Abuja on Friday by the National Director of Social Communications, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Nsikak Umoh.

According to him, the theme of the plenary, which holds at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria Abuja tagged “Fratelli Tutti: Path to Build Brotherhood and Sustainable Peace in West Africa.”

He informed that the event would commence with an opening ceremony at the ECOWAS Secretariat Asokoro, Abuja, on Tuesday 3 May 2022 by Time 10am prompt.

Very Rev. Fr. Michael Nsikak Umoh opined that about 150 Bishops from 16 different countries of West Africa are expected at the Conference; and are to be supported by Heads of Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassadors, Governors, and other dignitaries of Church and State.
