In a decisive move to entrench a culture of accountability, efficiency, and measurable results in Nigeria’s public sector, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has signed a landmark Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) contract, a reform milestone that sets a new standard for performance-based governance in the country.

The historic signing, which took place at the NIMC Corporate Headquarters in Abuja on October 5, 2025, was presided over by the Commission’s Director-General/CEO, Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and attended by departmental heads, senior management, and representatives of Triple Edge Consult, the implementing partner.

The initiative aligns directly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes transparency, accountability, and efficiency as the foundation of public service transformation.

In her welcome remarks, Mrs. Rhoda Jackden, Head of Human Capital Management, described the EPMS as a “game-changer” for institutional performance and employee accountability.

“This system will align organizational goals with individual contributions, ensuring every staff member understands their role in driving NIMC’s success,” she said, adding that the framework would serve as a powerful tool to measure, monitor, and reward productivity.

Representing Triple Edge Consult, Barr. Olusegun Adekunle, Team Lead, explained that the performance management system would introduce structured, measurable, and transparent parameters across all operational units.

“With EPMS, NIMC can effectively track performance, close efficiency gaps, and deliver services that meet global standards. It is not just a tool — it is a transformation framework,” he emphasized.

In her keynote address, Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, DG/CEO of NIMC, hailed the EPMS as a defining step in the Commission’s modernization journey and a bold statement of intent to deliver results.

“This is a new era for NIMC — one where performance is measurable, accountability is visible, and excellence is non-negotiable,” she declared.

Dr. Coker-Odusote urged all departmental and unit heads to embrace the system fully, ensuring that every action aligns with NIMC’s strategic objectives and the broader Renewed Hope Agenda.

“A departmental cascade has already begun to ensure alignment across all units,” she revealed. “Every staff member must see themselves as a key player in this transformation process.”

The ceremony culminated in the formal signing of the EPMS contract by the DG/CEO, departmental heads, and unit representatives, a symbolic step marking NIMC’s transition into a fully performance-driven organization.

With the EPMS now in place, NIMC is poised to strengthen internal governance, boost service delivery, and reinforce public confidence in Nigeria’s national identity ecosystem.
