The attention of the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service KN NANDAP has been drawn to the alarming increase in fake recruitment activities being perpetrated by fraudsters.
According to the DCI KT Udo, the NIS Public Relations Officer in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, the Service maintains that all recruitment exercises are conducted in a transparent, free and merit-based manner.
The NIS Comptroller General informed that vacancies are advertised through the NIS website, official government channels and recognized national newspapers.
He affirmed that NIS is working closely with relevant authorities to apprehend those involved in these fraudulent activities and bring them to justice.
The NIS Comptroller General maintained that the Service remained committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all its operations.
He urged the general public to remain vigilant and refrain from using fraudulent recruitment schemes, adding that anyone who receives unsolicited messages or is approached by individuals claiming to represent the NIS on recruitment matters should report to the Nigeria Immigration Service through the following official channels:
