It was a day of tributes, emotions, and rewards as the National Productivity Centre (NPC) on Thursday honoured its immediate past Director-General, Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha, with a brand-new car and glowing accolades for his sterling service to Nigeria.

The send forth, held at NPC headquarters in Abuja, drew top dignitaries, former DGs, staff, and stakeholders who hailed Raji-Mustapha as a “visionary leader, man of integrity, and catalyst for change.”

Current DG, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, who hosted the event, declared that under his leadership, rewarding excellence will become tradition.

“Lack of proper reward systems kills productivity. As long as I remain DG, every retiring Head of Department will go home with a car,” Dan’Agundi vowed.

Former DG, Dr. Kashim Yunusa Akor, who worked with Raji-Mustapha for eight years, praised him for raising the bar.

“He served under me without blemish. I am proud he improved on what I did and the new DG is doing even better,” he said.

In an emotional response, Raji-Mustapha thanked the Centre and urged his successors to deepen staff motivation:

“Motivation is the key to productivity. Without it, there can be no growth,” he stressed.

The high point was the handover of car gifts and service awards to Raji-Mustapha and other retirees, including Mrs. Rosemary Omoyeme Esekhagbe and Dr. (Mrs) Titilola Oshati.

The celebration cemented Raji-Mustapha’s legacy and sent a clear message: at NPC, dedication will not go unrewarded.
