The National Productivity Centre (NPC) has announced plans to collaborate with the Association of Corporate Online Editors (ACOE) to enhance public awareness of its activities and promote a productivity-driven culture in Nigeria.

The Director-General of NPC, Hon. Baffa Babba Dan-Agundi, made this known on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by ACOE to the Centre’s headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.

Established under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the NPC is mandated by Act Cap 70 LFN 2024 to drive productivity consciousness across all sectors of the Nigerian economy, track productivity trends, and spearhead initiatives to strengthen the country’s competitiveness.

Dan-Agundi expressed concern that the Centre’s contributions have remained underreported despite its critical role, stressing that the new partnership would help showcase its work to both Nigerians and the global community.

“We are ready to partner with you, and I can say you came at the right time. Working with your association will help us project our image and give visibility to our programmes,” he said.

The DG also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as pragmatic efforts in stabilizing Nigeria’s economy.

He noted that the administration’s policies were yielding measurable results, including the settlement of debts owed to foreign airlines and improved access to foreign exchange.

“The Tinubu-led administration has done well in stabilizing the economy. Even critics can attest to the progress so far,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of ACOE, Public Relations Officer, Comrade Gbemiga Olamikan, representing the Chairman, Comrade Sola Akingboye informed that the Association was committed to supporting the Centre in amplifying its initiatives through strategic digital communication.

“With over 50 members, ACOE is positioned to craft compelling narratives and leverage digital platforms to showcase NPC’s successes, engage stakeholders, and contribute to its productivity goals,” Olamikan assured.

He pledged the Association’s support in advancing national development and poverty reduction through sustained media visibility for the Centre’s programmes.

The collaboration, both parties affirmed, would not only strengthen NPC’s public engagement but also reinforce the national agenda of building a more productive and competitive economy.
