NSCDC Commandant stand Against Bill to Establish NMRS

The Commandant General,
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi on Thursday kicked against the Bill seeking the establishment of the Nigeria Mines Ranger Service (NMRS).

He maintained that the establishment of NMRS is unnecessary duplication of job, emphasizing that the Corps is wholeheartedly against it.

Audi made this stand known at a one-day public hearing on the Bill at the Senate which aimed to prevent, combat illegal mining, artisanal mining and other crimes in the mining sector.
