Worried by the recurring cases of criminality and destruction of agricultural investment across the country, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kaduna Command has launched the Agro Rangers unit as part of efforts to proactively address all social vices which affects all farmers.
Speaking at the launch, the Assistant Commandant General (ACG) Agro Rangers Adamu Sadabs Soja said that it is established to provide protection for investors in the agro allied sector and those who seek for our services at no cost to the investors.
ACG Soja said the decision to establish the unit was in response to request from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture to the Federal Ministry of Interior to establish a unit to establish a unit specially dedicated for the protection of agricultural investment and livestock.
He however informed that those that will seek their services particularly the big agro allied investors may need to assist their men with shelter and general where possible mobility.
The ACG therefore called on farmers be it in the area of crops or animals to take advantage of the agro rangers to protect their investments against all forms of criminality and have value for their investments.
“Our personals has acquired the required training to provide efficient services for agro allied investors”.
