The Senate has on Thursday screened and confirmed Dr Badamasi Lawal as the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency, (NSIPA).
This was sequel to the report of its Committee on Poverty Alleviation and National Social Investment Programme Agency which resulted in the confirmation request by President Bola Tinubu.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu appointed Dr Badamasi as the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of NSIPA subject to screening and confirmation of the National Assembly.
NSIPA is an agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria that coordinates the implementation of the social Investments Programme in Nigeria.
In September NSIPA released N24 million to poor and vulnerable households under the Conditional Cash Transfer scheme.
