The ground forces and Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have foiled two separate terrorist attacks in Borno State.
On June 5, 2025, terrorists attempted to infiltrate troops in Buratai, Biu Local Government Area, but were swiftly engaged by the troops with heavy gunfire and close air support from the Air Component.

Headquarters Theatre Command Operation HADIN KAI, several terrorists were neutralized, and a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.
In a similar incident, troops in Mallam Fatori, Abadam Local Government Area, repelled an attack by terrorists, who were forced to flee after being engaged with superior firepower.
The troops pursued the retreating terrorists, neutralizing scores and recovering several AK-47 rifles, General Purpose Machine Guns, Rocket Propelled Guns, and other terrorist equipment.
The coordinated efforts between the ground forces and Air Component demonstrate the determination of Operation HADIN KAI to deny terrorists freedom of action in the region.
The troops continue to exploit the general area, with air support from the Air Component and Nigerian Army Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Command.
