Pastor Buru distributes harmattan cloths to destitute, less privileged

The Christ of Evangelical Intercessory and Life Intervention Ministry Sabon Tasha-Kaduna State, North-West, Nigeria has distributed hundreds of blankets, socks, head warmers, hand gloves and warm clothing to the children of people living with disability and other less privileged in the society.

Speaking while distributing the materials at the destitute home in Kano road Kaduna State, North-West, Nigeria on Friday, the Founder, Pastor Yohanna Buru informed that the gesture was to protect them against all forms of ill related diseases associated with cold as the harmattan weather is gradually commences.

Pastor Buru added that some of the warm protective clothe were also distributed to some street less privileged at Kaduna Central Market, Kawo-under the bridge ,Rigasa, Sabon Tasha and some children of Internally Displaced Person (IDPs).

According to him, the street beggar’s children need the help and that is why we decided to assist them with cold protective cloths, saying from now till January 2018, the weather is not going to be friendly.

“Eye diseases were mostly common during the season as a result of the extreme dry, dusty wind blowing especially in the northern part of the country and stressed the need for help to the needy”.

“There was the need for Nigerians to be their brothers’ keeper by donating protective clothes to less-privileged, especially the homeless children who spent the night in the open with nothing to protect them from the current harsh harmattan weather.

“We discovered that, some children were in need of Harmattan cloth and when the wind blows, it causes health problems to the respiratory system such as asthma, bronchitis, as well as conjunctivitis, cough and catarrh.

Responding on behalf of the Destitute Association of Kaduna State ,Malam Samalia Sarkin Gurugun Doka Kaduna, said “we cannot stop thanking Pastor Yohanna Buru and his Church members for remembering us at such a season like this” Samaila said.

According to him, Pastor Buru always remembered them in everything that he is doing that concerns serving humanity

He concluded by calling on other wealthy individual, Non-Governmental Organization, Civil society organization and Government at all level to assisting the less privileged in the country.
