The Catholic Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (CAMPAN) Onitsha Province has commended the welfare and human infrastructural development posture of Governor Willie Obiano in Anambra State.
In a press release signed by its Co-ordinator, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze hailed Governor Obiano for the political will to commence payment of minimum wage to the state workforce, from the second half of this year.
The Association also thumbed up the Governor’s carefully selecting and bringing on board core professionals and proven administrators for his 2nd term administration.
They also commend Governor Obiano excellent performance in security, and rural development, noting that safety informed the choice of Anambra state as host for the recently concluded conference of Directors of Social Communications in all the Catholic Diocese in the country.
It applaud the choice of the renowned media guru, Mr. C. Don Adinuba as the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment while promising to support the Commissioner in realizing the of information dissemination.
Meanwhile, Anambra State Muslims Council has felicitated with Governor Willie Obiano and his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke on their second term Inauguration.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Suberu and Secretary-General Alhaji Sanni Ejoh.
It described Governor Obiano as the best in the history of governance in Anambra state and implored him not to relent in his determination to make the state greater.
The statement also urged the Governor to work towards the consolidation of the successes it recorded in all sectors of the state economy, saying this will serve as a base and point of direction for future administrations.
It expressed its support to Governor Obiano administration second tenure journey, adding that it is geared towards the consolidation of democracy dividends and prayed God to grant the government overwhelming success.
