Senator Representing Adamawa North, Senator Elisha Abbo has described the former Governor of Osun State and ministerial nominee, Mr Rauf Aregbesola as a detribalised and honest Nigerian.
Speaking on Monday during the screening of ministerial nominees at the Denate, Senator Abbo said Mr Aregbesola showed him kindness seven years back.
According to him, Former governor Rauf gave him his one-month salary to contest Chairmanship election in his hometown in 2012, saying the providence has now made it possible for him to be among those screening the nominee.
Senator Abbo therefore asked the Senate to extend the respect accorded to ex-lawmakers to Aregbesola.
He shouted at the floor of the Senate “I want to join my colleagues from Osun and the entire south-west to extol the virtue of this great Nigerian, I’m Confirming Your Nomination” he said.
