The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has warned enemies of the nation, including insurgents, terrorists, and bandits, that there will be no hiding place for those who threaten Nigeria’s peace and stability.
Given the warning in his address during the Second Quarter Route March in Abuja, the CAS emphasized the NAF’s unwavering dedication to national security and commitment to defending the nation’s airspace and protecting lives and property.
He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support to the Armed Forces, particularly in operational effectiveness and personnel welfare.
The CAS highlighted the importance of physical fitness in the NAF, stating that it is a non-negotiable requirement for all personnel.
He directed that physical fitness test certificates accompany performance evaluation reports and that personnel must be medically and physically fit for promotion.
Abubakar also announced plans to enhance physical fitness infrastructure, including the construction of modern sporting facilities and procurement of advanced gym equipment for NAF bases and units.
The route march was aimed to build endurance, foster comradeship, and sustain physical conditioning necessary for modern military operations.
It also served as a show of force, demonstrating the NAF’s vigilance and preparedness to defend the nation’s sovereignty.
