Sardaunan Badarawa Football Academy: Kits arrive for commencement of training

All is now set with the arrival of complete training kits for smooth takeoff of Sardaunan Badarawa Football Academy as first phase of grooming grassroots players into professionals that could compete on global stage.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of the academy, Hon Usman Ibrahim while announcing arrival of the imported kits which included; jerseys, boots, shin guards, dozens of balls among others noted that 30 youth would be selected from seven Local Government Areas as beneficiaries of the professional footballers training initiative of the academy.

The Seven Local Government Areas are; Kaduna South, Kaduna North, Kajuru, Chikun, Birnin Gwari, Igabi and Giwa.

Hon Ibrahim further explained that initiative in partnership with foreign football academy whose officials, he revealed would be arriving the shores of Nigeria any moment from now to grill, coach and groom the players into professionals.

He assured that transparent and fair process would be used in selecting players irrespective of their religious, Political or ethnic background, adding that discipline and commitments would not be compromised to ensure success of the programme.

The Philanthropist stated that insecurity, banditry, drug abuse and other forms of anti-social activities could only be fought through creating a level playing ground and providing opportunities for teeming number of Nigeria’s youth to showcase and utilize their talents for the betterment of the society.

“We must awaken our conscience for national rebirth by paying attention to our youth to discover their talents.

“This has been my passion and preoccupation for over two decades now which I hold dearly in my heart and intend to keep the momentum either as private or public figure” he promised.

He urged well-meaning Nigerians to take seriously the issue of youth empowerment and vocations, insisting that Governments at various levels can’t do it alone.
