The Former Governor of Nasarawa State and Senator of the Federal Republic, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has congratulated Professor Nentawe Yilwatda on his emergence as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the appointment as a step toward party rejuvenation and national cohesion.
In a statement personally signed and released in Abuja, Senator Al-Makura hailed the decision as a reflection of the collective wisdom of the APC’s National Executive Committee and the strategic foresight of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Permit me to warmly congratulate you as the National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). This decision reflects the collective wisdom of the National Executive Committee and the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” Al-Makura stated.
Reaffirming his loyalty to the APC, Al-Makura expressed full support for Yilwatda’s leadership, describing him as a figure capable of steering the party with “courage, inclusivity, and clarity of purpose.”
“This is a time for healing, for reconnecting with the grassroots, and for promoting the APC as a beacon of democratic maturity and national unity,” the former governor said.
He called on the new chairman to prioritize empathy, consensus-building, and strategic leadership, noting that the current moment offers an opportunity to reinforce public trust and strengthen internal party cohesion.
