During his speech, the former Senator informed that as a result of the success recorded so far in the ongoing Sani Saleh Peace and Unity Cup, the competition will be expanded to feature teams from the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State in 2018.
Retired General Sani Saleh explained that already, talks were on with the state government for partnership towards that, saying the decision was borne out of the need to consolidate on efforts of the state government in maintaining peace.
he noted that Governor Nasir is doing all within his powers in making Kaduna one of the safest States in Nigeria, a move that is constantly reducing unemployment burden through the attraction of investments, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs.
It would be recalled that Kaduna SWAN identified the Senator for sports development in the state after successfully sponsoring the peace cup with a brand new car as first prize, one million Naira as second position prize and five hundred thousand Naira as for the second runner-up.
