Social Security, Economic Reforms: Rep Umoh confident in 2025 Budget’s Impact

A Honourable member representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, Rep Patrick Umoh has affirmed that the 2025 Appropriation Bill as presented by President Bola Tinubu will keep afloat the national lives, such as social security, social economy reforms among others.

The Chairman House Committee on Health lnstitutions disclosed this with journalists in an interview on Wednesday shortly after the presentation of the budget proposal.

He described the 2025 budget proposal as an ‘ambitious budgetary proposal and called on Ministries Department Agencies (MDAs) to cooperate with the parliament to bring the budget to fruition where Nigerians can reap the dividends of democracy as promised by President Tinubu.

The Lawmaker enjoined Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu, as he is just eighteen months in office and appealed all hands to be on deck for the development of the country.

Rep Umoh lauded President Tinubu for the presentation of the 2025 budget proposal in line with the renew hope agenda of Mr. President.

“I must commend President Bola Tinubu for this courage to come up with this budget of national consolidation. Yes, it is in line with the renewed hope agenda. “This budget will consolidate on the budget performance index of 2024.

“I know there is pressure on our economy but I am very happy with the steps President Bola Tinubu is taking to address issues, he is doing his very best and I am assure all Nigerians that things will get better with Tinubu on the saddle.”

Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presented an N47.96 Trillion budget proposal to a joint session of the National Assembly.
