The Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiative (TADI) has dismissed as a false and malicious report by Sahara Reporters alleging a $1.5 million bribery scandal involving senior security aides to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday by its Executive Director, Ambassador Yomi David, the group described the publication as a “deliberate and coordinated campaign of misinformation” aimed at discrediting the Presidency and destabilising the administration.
TADI insisted that no evidence had been presented to support the allegations, which it said were targeted at sowing discord within President Tinubu’s inner circle.
“This is not journalism, it is sabotage,” Ambassador David said.
TADI argued that the report was part of a broader effort by unnamed interests to undermine the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and derail reforms currently being pursued by the administration.
“We will not stand idly by while unscrupulous actors peddle.
