Terrorism Takes Hit: Operation FASAN YAMMA Troops Eliminate Key Targets in Zamfara

The Nigerian Armed Forces, through Operation FASAN YAMMA, has successfully neutralized a group of terrorists in Zamfara State. The operation, conducted by the Mobile Strike Team on June 10, 2025, resulted in the deaths of several notorious terrorists, including Auta, Abdul Jamilu, and Salisu, who were linked to multiple acts of violence in the area.

Preliminary reports according to Major General MARKUS KANGYE, the Director Defence Media Operations in a press statement made available on Thursday in Abuja indicate that two additional terrorist kingpins, including Babayé, were also eliminated.

He maintained that in a separate incident, Sale Ado Madele, the eldest son of bandit leader Ado Alieru, was reportedly killed.

Furthermore, troops killed 10 terrorists congregating near a filling station in Danjibga, believed to be planning an attack.

The Nigerian Armed Forces remain committed to safeguarding lives and restoring peace in Zamfara State and the wider North-West region.

This operation demonstrates their resolve to dismantle terrorist networks and bring perpetrators of violence to justice.
