The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) carried out a successful precision airstrike on June 5, 2025, targeting terrorist elements in Buratai, Borno State, as part of Operation HADIN KAI.
This was contained in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday by Air Commodore, Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force.
According to him, based on credible intelligence, NAF surveillance assets tracked insurgents fleeing with gun trucks, and air assets were deployed to engage the convoy.
The airstrike resulted in several terrorists being neutralized and two gun trucks loaded with supplies being destroyed.
