The Former Chief of Army Staff Lt.Gen. Tukur Buratai has categorically debunk the false reports circulating online about an alleged attack on His Excellency Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd).
In a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday by SK Usman, informed that contrary to the malicious claims, General Buratai peacefully celebrated Eid in Abuja with family and friends and has remained in the Federal Capital Territory since then.
He affirmed that the claims were baseless rumor and a product of fake news peddlers aiming to malign him and spread misinformation.
SK maintained that the peddlers actions are irresponsible and condemnable.
He appreciated the genuine concern, prayers, and goodwill from patriotic Nigerians, friends, and admirers who reached out.
According to him, the overwhelming show of love and support is a testament to General Buratai’s enduring respect and affection across the country.
He opined that this would serve as a reminder that truth will always prevail, and no amount of falsehood can tarnish the image of a man who has devoted his life to serving our nation.
