President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Morenike Grace Henry (JP) as the Chairman of the National Council of the Nigerian Legion, marking a significant milestone in the country’s history.

Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Morenike Grace Henry is a distinguished veteran and pioneer of the Female Military Veterans Association (FMVA).

She has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication in various capacities, including her role as Director of Corporate Affairs at the Nigerian Legion.

Her appointment is a well-deserved recognition of her expertise and commitment to promoting the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.

As Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Morenike is expected to:-

– *Promote the welfare of ex-servicemen*: Leverage her experience to ensure that veterans receive the support and recognition they deserve.

– *Foster comradeship*: Encourage unity and camaraderie among ex-servicemen and their families.

– *Support families of deceased. veterans*: Engage in activities that provide assistance and comfort to families who have lost loved ones in service.

– *Facilitate training, employment, and settlement*: Help ex-servicemen transition back to civilian life and access opportunities for personal and professional growth.
