In commemoration of Black History Month, the U.S. Embassy will hold a symposium titled “Nostalgia: Performing Home and the Diaspora.”
The Speakers include Professors from the University of Abuja and the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
They will be joined by U.S. based Nigerian playwright and actress Ngozi Anyanwu.
The symposium will be followed in the evening by a stage performance of Ngozi Anyanwu’s play “The Homecoming Queen.”
The performance is part of a larger Black History program which will showcase African American contributions to the arts and enhance educational and cultural interactions between Africa and Africans in the diaspora.
