Nazareth, the cradle of Christianity, came alive on Thursday as Mr. Wisam Tabar, the influential Chairman of Tabar Tours Holyland, celebrated his birthday in grand style, a gathering that blended faith, family, and philanthropy in a setting steeped in history and grace.
The intimate but elegant ceremony, held in the heart of Nazareth, drew family members, close friends, and associates who honoured a man widely regarded as one of the most prominent figures in Christian pilgrimage tourism across the Holy Land.
Tabar, whose company has become a trusted partner for thousands of pilgrims from Africa and around the world, was joined by loved ones including his father, Mr. Joseph Tabar, who recently turned 85 on October 12, 2025.
The celebration reached its emotional peak as both father and son, symbols of two generations of service and devotion shared the ceremonial cake cutting amid applause and heartfelt tributes.
Known for his deep Christian values and commitment to excellence, Wisam Tabar has transformed Tabar Tours into a premier pilgrimage operator, offering tailored experiences for faith-based travellers across Israel, Jordan, and Egypt.
“Wisam represents the best of what faith, hard work, and family legacy can produce,” said Shadia Scrour, General Manager of Tabar Tours, describing her chairman as “a visionary who leads with grace and humility.”
Guests praised Tabar for his dedication to promoting peace, faith tourism, and cross-cultural understanding in the region, with many calling him “a bridge between nations through pilgrimage.”
As the evening closed with hymns and toasts, the celebrant expressed gratitude to his family, staff, and global partners for their unwavering support.
“This celebration is not just about me, it’s about faith, family, and the calling to serve others,” Tabar said. “May we continue to make the Holy Land a place of renewal for every pilgrim who visits.”
