NEMA support Kaduna flood victims with relief materials

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presenting reliefs materials to Kaduna flood victims in Ungwan-Romi, Karatudu, Abubakar-Kigo road among others to reduced their suffering and promised to partners with Kaduna state government in that direction.

Presenting the relief materials, the Director General of NEMA, Engineer Mustapha Maihaja who was represented by the Director, Search and Rescue, Air Commodore Akugbe Iyamu said they are here to see things for themselves and to commiserate with the victims and presents what the Federal Government have for them.

Receiving the material on behalf of the state Government in Kaduna on Sunday, 26th of August, 2018, the Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Kaduna State, Mr. Ben Kure appreciated the federal government under the administration of President Muhammad Buhari who take their time to come to Kaduna to sympathize with the victims and offered them relief materials.

The Executive Secretary promised to deliver the materials accordingly, saying, Kaduna state government is also doing everything possible to come to the aid of the victims, while urging them to be calm.

He said adequate measure would be taking to ensure no life is lost and advised the victims to try to relocate to another place instead of coming back after the rain or river might have come down.

The relief materials are mattresses, tomatoes, rice, omo, mats, corn among others.
