Sardaunan Badarawa Foundation begins second phase of lighting Kaduna with streetlights

In redeeming his pledge to sustain provision of streetlights for Kaduna Urban and rural communities, Chairman and CEO Sardaunan Badarawa Foundation, Hon Usman Ibrahim has began second phase of solar lighting of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, with a promise to complete the project within the shortest time.

He disclosed that each Local Government Area in Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone would get 20 Units of the German made solar streetlights which he said would illuminate streets and areas around them to ensure legit nightlife activities were enjoyable and worthwhile.

The Local Government Areas are; Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun, Kajuru, Igabi, Birnin Gwari and Giwa.

According to him 189 units of solar streetlights had been installed in the first phase of the projects in urban areas within and around Kaduna Central Zone, adding that prominent individuals, including Political Parties’ Secretariat’s among others were covered in phase one, adding that areas not earlier captured would be given priority this time.

Hon Ibrahim who also holds the traditional title of San – Turakin Hausa conferred on him by Katsina Emirate, added that beneficiaries of his Philanthropist gestures cut across party and religious lines to ensure an even distribution of his programmes and projects which included according to him; youth and women empowerment, vocational training, provision of scholarship to less privileged among others.

The businessman and Philanthropist mentioned that his zeal and passion to give back to the society were his motivating factors for venturing into touching lives, uplifting the needy and putting smiles on faces of people in the society, vowing to maintain the tempo either as a private citizen or an elected or appointed public office holder.

He stated that due to effectiveness of his foundation’s societal development initiatives, Zazzau Emirate had gladly partnered with him in area of wedding less privileged widows by requesting, according to him 100 slots for women wishing to settle down in matrimony living within the jurisdiction of the Emir whom he described as a selfless leader who had interest of his people at heart.

Mr Ibrahim also revealed that he had extended his Philanthropist activities to Zone three known as Southern Kaduna to be solely handled by Amina Yakowa, wife of late Yakowa, former Governor of Kaduna State.

The APC stakeholder in Kaduna Central Zone further announced the ongoing payment of school fees of final year less privileged indigenes of 7 each from the seven local government area of the Zone totaling 49 in polytechnics and universities, inviting eligible students to come forward with proofs of being qualified so they would benefit from the scholarship scheme.

“To me education provides stability in life, and it’s something that no one can ever take away from you. By being well-educated and holding a college degree, you increase your chances for better career opportunities and open up new doors for yourself.

“In today’s society, having an education is considered a vital part of being accepted by those around you. Having an education is believed to make you a useful part of the society, and can make you feel like a contributing member as well” he stated.

He also assured the good people of the state, particularly kaduna central zone that more goodies are on the way to better their lives
