The Executive Secretary, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi has appealed to affluent individuals in the State to key into the adoption model introduced by the Agency to help the vulnerable in the society benefit from the scheme.
He made the appeal during the enrollment of over one hundred and fifty people at Umuchu, Aguata local government area, explained that the adoption model was introduced by the agency to ensure that the objective of the scheme, which is to have every resident of the State covered, is achieved.
Dr. Onyemaechi, who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, extolled Governor Willie Obiano for initiating the scheme as well as his constant payment of counterpart fund to the Agency, calling on Ndi Anambra and other residents of the State to key into the scheme.
The Executive Secretary further explained that the State government is working tirelessly to renovate and upgrade all Primary Health Care Centers across the State for them to be able to attend to ASHIA beneficiaries.
The member representing Aguata one constituency in the State house of
Assembly, Honourable Cater Ume was present during the exercise.
