Groups Commends El-Rufai for Restoring Democracy through Use of Electronic Voting Machine

The Co-ordinator El-Rufa’i Win Project, Comrade Zubairu Mukhtar has commended Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufa’I for restoring democracy at the local level, reformed the local government systems through the recent use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) during the local government election in the state.

According to him, the Electronic Voting Machine has indeed promoted electoral integrity and transparency, adding that Kaduna State is 8th in the World which has made used of the EVM for elections.

Comrade Mukhtar who gave the advised this in a statement made available to newsmen shortly after a courtesy visit to Alhaji Salisu Adamu Mohammed of Basawa, Zaria, Kaduna yesterday was of the opinion that the move would enable them deliver services at the grass root and for bankrupt ones to move into solvency.

He expressed his gratitude to the good people of Kaduna State over the peaceful conduct of the just concluded local government elections.

The Co-ordinator however urged the newly elected local government Council Chairmen and Councilors to ensure that they bring dividends of Democracy to the people at the grass root.

“I commend His Excellency Mal. Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufa’i, Rt. Hon. Aminu Shagali, Hon. Uba Sani, Hon. Suleiman Abdu Kwari and a host of other political appointees who made this process a success.

“Dr. Saratu Dikko-Audu, Dr. Rilwanu and their team are also appreciated that the transparent conduct of the elections was not left out.

“We thank Alh. Salisu Adamu Mohammed for his enormous contributions to the El-Rufa’i Win Project and called on well meaning citizens and residents of Kaduna State to join the train of moving Kaduna to the promise land” he stressed.

Responding, Alhaji Salisu Adamu Mohammed commended the State Governor for all the reforms he has been carrying out across the state and pledged his support to the El-Rufa’i Win Project Programs.

“I will contribute my quota to the development and progress of Kaduna State, our fatherland” he said.
