CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE!

I congratulate the New Leadership of the 10th National Assembly of Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Senate President and Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker House Of Representatives on their election victories. A seamless democratic process that has further deepened democracy in the country and affirms the absolute independence of the Legislative Arm of Government in the country.

Let me seize this opportunity to commend the democratic posture of H.E President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for despite having preferred candidates, allowed all members elect to freely exercise their constitutional rights to vote and be voted for in the just concluded elections. I also salute the APC National and Security agencies for the professional manner in handling the election processes, purging themselves of partisanship. This is what is expected in a democratic setting, which is intandem with my avowed commitments to salvage Nasarawa State House of Assembly from undemocratic forces. I strongly call on State Governors to take a cue from Mr President and respect the law of separation of powers and independence of the Legislatures.

I have confidence in the leadership capacities of the duo of Senator Akpabio and Speaker Abbas, to bring their vast legislative experiences to bear in translating the Renewed Hope of Nigerians into physical reality through People’s centered legislation, in line with the #RenewedHope agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), President Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

Our proximity to Abuja, the seat of power avails us the opportunity to tap from the wealth of ideas of the Leadership of the 10th National Assembly and to this end, I want to express the readiness of the 7th Assembly in Nasarawa State to partner the National Assembly and replicating some of its sound legislations for a more robust legislative business in the state.

Kindly accept the assurances of my esteemed regards and congratulations our Nation’s Senate President and Speaker House Of Representatives.

Rt. Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi
Speaker, Nasarawa State House Of Assembly.
13th June, 2023.
