Vote Victor Moses for BBC African Footballer of the Year 2017, SWAN urges Nigerians

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria-SWAN has called on Nigerians across the world to vote for Chelsea and Super Eagles player, Victor Moses in the ongoing vote for “BBC African Footballer of The Year 2017.”

In a statement signed by the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Wale Joseph and made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Monday, congratulates Moses for placing Nigeria on the list.

It said, Victor Moses, aside from helping Chelsea to win the English Premier League title and finishing second in the FA Cup, was instrumental to Nigeria’s qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, scoring three goals in the process.

Victor Moses has played his role through his performance, which has put a Nigerian among the BBC Sport ‘best football players in Africa.

It is time for Nigerians to appreciate his contributions and encourage the country’s quest for a superpower status in world football by voting him.

The statement continue to opined that Moses is competing alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, with the winner to be crowned next month, live on BBC World TV and BBC World Service Radio.

The BBC Sport and BBC Africa websites will also carry the announcement. Voting closes at 1800 GMT on November 27, 2017.
